There are four Wasp classes in ATMOSFAR — Utility, Cargo, Fighter and Scout — each tuned for a different role, with distinct speed, weight, agility and fuel stats.

Utility Wasp — the starter all-rounder

Starter

Utility Wasp

Slow, low on agility, average in survivability, and burns a lot of fuel, but it is the easiest Wasp to keep repaired and is the only class that carries a foldable mobile camp for field crafting, resting and refueling.

Best for: Jack of all trades and the de facto mobile base between the Cloud Cruiser and the islands you cannot reach in a single hop.

Cargo Wasp — heavy transport

Transport

Cargo Wasp

Weighs around 4,000 kg, has very low speed, very high fuel use, and carries six inventory slots. Its undercarriage mounts a magnetic hoist that can airlift large scrap and even other Wasps, and it interfaces directly with the Cloud Cruiser's cargo lift so bulky loads can be moved off the ship without anyone leaving the Vault.

Best for: Airlifting heavy scrap and other Wasps back to the Cruiser.

Fighter Wasp — combat Wasp

Combat

Fighter Wasp

Fast with very high agility, high durability, and high fuel use. It comes with a Flare Dispenser and a Stunner Turret as modules, can perform a barrel roll, and is reserved for engagements with hostile fauna or PACE drones. It burns more fuel than other Wasps and demands more specialized repairs.

Best for: Engagements with Tycos fauna and PACE drones.

Scout Wasp — reconnaissance

Scout

Scout Wasp

The lightest Wasp at roughly 1,600 kg, the fastest, the most agile, and burns the least fuel, but it is fragile. It carries a scanner for spotting animals and items in a chosen direction, a Geiger counter for finding nuclear reactor cores, floodlights and night-vision modes for cave work, and the ability to drop beacons to mark points of interest and scan remnants for research and site data.

Best for: Scouting ahead, finding reactor cores and charting safe paths.

All Wasps share these traits

Across every class, Wasp construction is modular: engines, hovers, hulls and cosmetic paint jobs can all be swapped. Wasps also support extra riders — players can sit on the sides of the Wasp while one player pilots, which is what makes small-Wasp formation flying work in the first place.
